Article 1

Sunrise, FL, Folsom, CA, Vancouver, CA
In January, the entire ProjectSight and BuildingPoint teams met in-person and via live stream to kickoff 2020. Presentations were given by Ron Antevy (CEO), Greg Blackman (Sr.VP), Chris Bell (VP of Marketing) and the wealth of others from senior leadership to recap 2019 and to outline the vision and strategy for 2020. To say the excitement in the room and over the internet was palpable would have been an understatement. Trimble's ProjectSight is expanding it's exploration of the Constructible Process from 2019 and diving further into Connected Construction. We have realized that there are 4 key components that need to be connected: Stakeholders, Assets, Models, and Workflows. 2020 will be the year that more and more of these become a connected reality. The attendees of the event were ecstatic to explore the different Trimble technologies (i.e. XR10, CrewSight, Connect, SiteVision, X7 and many more) and to learn how connecting the data will benefit site and office efficiencies.

December 2019 - Create Drawing Measurement Annotations on Your Drawings
Release date: December 10, 2019

Drawing Measurements

Do you need to measure a drawing to quickly determine how much material you need to order? Or perhaps you’ve identified a potential design issue and need to ensure that the proposed size meets your needs. Using the new drawing measurement tools, you can now perform measurement annotations on your drawings.

Start by calibrating your tool to set your default scale.

                        Set default scale

Choose to draw a line, polyline and polygon measurement annotations on the drawing.

                                        Area Measurement

To draw more precise lines, there is also a portfolio setting that enables snapping for measurement annotations. When you draw an annotation, the line will be moved automatically to the nearest point or line in the drawing.
