Say hello to our brand-new quarterly Partner newsletter, Collaborate! Our goal with this newsletter is to better support our Partners by providing valuable content to enhance your Partner experience. You can expect to read about best practices from your fellow Partners, Partner-focused topics, the e-Builder Partner Team, and much more. Collaborate will be issued quarterly in addition to Edge, our monthly customer newsletter, so you won’t be missing out on any important e-Builder updates or content.

We want to ensure that the content we craft is beneficial to you. Make sure you let us know what you want to see in Collaborate by taking our short survey, here. This survey will only take a couple of minutes to complete and is extremely valuable in helping us tailor content to your preferences.

Check back in May for the second edition of Collaborate; until then, make sure to leave us your feedback in the survey above and enjoy the rest of the newsletter!

e-Builder is excited to announce the launch of a new Partner Services Program! This program is designed to support and empower our Partners in the delivery of successful e-Builder implementations. With this new program comes more benefits for our Partners such as more extensive Partner training services and resources. There will also be an expanded framework for Partner Oversight engagements and more opportunities for Partners to work with e-Builder technical specialists.

To provide our Partners with better communication on Technical Support requests, the Partner Services team has introduced an enhanced Partner Support Ticket management procedure. When you submit an e-Builder Support request to [email protected], please copy Andrew Mendez ([email protected]) and Jamie Cooke ([email protected]) on the email. We will help to ensure that your request is reviewed promptly and keep you notified of the status.

The Partner Services Program won’t stop there either. As the program grows, our team will be consulting with our Partners on the most valuable ways to refine and expand this program.

The Partner Services Program includes a dedicated point of contact for all Partner questions, support requests, and feedback at [email protected]. Your feedback and ideas are extremely important to us. Don’t be shy, send us an email; we would love to hear from you!

KFA Shares Best Practices for a Successful Implementation

Our Partner Spotlight focuses on an e-Builder Partner and their use and experience with e-Builder Enterprise, as well as best practices that they have picked up along the way. This quarter, the spotlight is on KFA and their Vice President, Peter Urban. KFA is an information technology consulting firm specializing in services for the design and construction industry. They have been working with e-Builder Enterprise since 2009, but officially became a partner in 2018. Throughout this time, Peter has individually managed or assisted in more than 20 e-Builder implementations!

Most recently, KFA worked with The Pennsylvania State University (PSU), leading PSU's initial phase of implementation of e-Builder Enterprise. As you may recall, PSU’s success was highlighted in the January edition of Edge newsletter! Other notable clients KFA has worked with include the Illinois Tollway Authority, Chicago Transit Authority, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, and Infrastructure Ontario.

Peter shares some of the keys to successful implementations: management sponsorship, attention to detail, and continuous support. Strong backing from management helps to establish goals, set priorities, and commit resources for the implementation. After all, both the implementation team AND the client have important roles. Thoughtful planning and comprehensive design documentation in the early stages will set the entire implementation up for success. Be prepared to support users after go-live. Plan for immediate user support and ongoing training. There are many reasons to continue training: new software functionality, new project teams, or even new processes. Change management starts before implementation and continues far beyond.

We would like to thank KFA and Peter Urban for sharing their experience and tips to be successful!
